Improving reading technique – trackers and pacers

Hold the pen in your dominant hand, keeping the cap on.

Using the pen as a pointer, underline each line as you read it, keeping your eye fixation on the words above the tip of the pen. This is called tracking. (You can either hold the pen as you would when writing, or lying flat against the page.)

Practice this for 2 minutes, spending no more than one second to read each line. Therefore, in 2 minutes, you should aim to read a minimum of 120 lines. Do not worry about comprehension.
